They do this by providing 1:1 Advocacy and Mentoring support, facilitating mentoring programmes, counselling, representing us at events, championing our values and most importantly as true examples that you can create your own destiny, to succeed!

Independent Domestic Abuse Advocate (IDVA)

Natalie Johnson is a qualified children and families Social Worker whose expertise is Leaving Care, Youth Mental Health First Aid and supporting those in the LGBTQ+ community. Natalie has a Masters in Women and Child Abuse studies and has a working background in Domestic abuse, including trafficking and cultural harmful practices. She has just embarked on a fully funded PhD. 
 
She supports women and girls who are care experienced, access our advocacy service at risk of or experiencing any forms of cultural harmful practices, domestic abuse or sexual violence. Advocating for reclaiming justice, fighting against oppression and unconscious bias, who often face discrimination due to a lack of cultural competency within institutions. which poses greater risks and difficulties to accessing services.

Olubukola is an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) with a background in Mental Health as a practitioner, who is passionate about helping women who are victims of Domestic Violence Abuse with everything they need to become safe and rebuild their life.
 
She supports women who are engaged with our advocacy service with 1:1 Support, to improve the quality and access to healthy relationship educational services for women and girls affected by cultural harmful practices, domestic abuse and/or sexual violence.
You can survive this, and once you have , your life can begin again, and you'll realise how good life can be and that you can survive anything!

Regine is a BACP certified counsellor and the founder of Feeling Good Counselling service, which support you in the process of finding your feel good within, is completely focused on empowering you to find your feel good place. So that you can live the life you really want to create.

Regine as our Therapeutic lead & Counsellor, supports women who are engaged with our advocacy service with 1:1 counselling Support, to improve the quality and access to wellbeing services for women and girls affected by mental health challenges.

Everyone has within them the ability to feel good. Sometimes we need some reminding of how best to feel good, be who you are and say how you feel.

Penny Jarrett is a care experienced writer, wellness coach, youth mentor and mental health advocate – raising awareness by sharing her lived experiences with adult ADHD and CPTSD.

Penny supports females who are engaged with our advocacy service with 1:1 & group Mentoring Support, to improve the quality and access to wellbeing educational services for women and girls affected by mental health challenges.

Shirina helps people identify the most inner parts of themselves. Helping them overcome barriers that prevent them from being their best self. Shirina champions wellbeing inner beauty and ignites the importance of it being a part of our daily routine.

Shirina’s well-being company ‘Thoughts within the journey’  works in partnership with Amour Destiné to support women who are engaged with our Destiny Creators Mentoring Programme with 1:1 and group mentoring support.

Mercy is currently studying Criminology and Sociology at the University of Greenwich.

Mercy is supporting us as  part of her university degree module, to understand how we can be more proactive with what we learn about our services to improve it.

This has included attending some of our programmes, researching what the responses are to harmful practices, domestic/sexual abuse affecting specifically Black & Black Mixed heritage care experienced survivors in the tri-borough of Greenwich, Lewisham and Bexley including statutory services.

Isatu Haja Shaw Momoh is a Social Anthropologist graduate from the University of Essex and the author of The Power of Perseverance and Resilience navigating Forster care, abandonment, and abuse

Isatu is passionate about sharing the importance of having a positive mindset, knowing your identity, and achieving your purpose all through perseverance and resilience. All character traits that she believes can be developed. 

Isatu represents Amour Destiné as our Youth lead to improve the quality and access to Harmful Practice, Domestic/Sexual Abuse and wellbeing educational services for care experienced women and girls.

Having grown up In foster care without the support of my parents. I have dedicated my life to helping other young people like myself to continue persevering and to know that the struggles that they experience are just stepping stones that lead them to the greatness that they have been called to.

Keeley Stephenson is a parliamentary board member, youth work specialist advocate for foster care and founder of Care leavers Legacy. She uses her negative care experiences as fuel to shape her purpose and influence the individuals around her.

Keeley will represent Amour Destiné to improve the quality and access to services for care experienced women and girls.
