Amour Destiné Secures Three Years of Funding from The National Lottery Community Fund

We are delighted to announce that Amour Destiné has been awarded three years of funding from The National Lottery Community Fund – Reaching communities.

This is a significant milestone in our journey and an exciting new chapter for our organisation. As a survivor-led, specialist organisation supporting Black African, Caribbean and mix heritage women and girls affected by various forms of harm, this funding will provide the stability and investment needed to strengthen and continue our work over the next three years.

At Amour Destiné, we believe every woman and girl deserves access to culturally responsive, trauma-informed support that recognises her experiences, values her voice and empowers her to shape her own future.

This investment will enable us to continue delivering our specialist services, including advocacy, health and wellbeing support, leadership development, mentoring, community outreach and survivor-led initiatives. It will also allow us to build our organisational capacity, strengthen partnerships and continue influencing systems to improve outcomes for Black women and girls.

Investing in Hope, Healing and Leadership

For many women, the journey towards safety and recovery is not simply about leaving abuse. It is about rebuilding confidence, reconnecting with their identity, improving their wellbeing and believing in their own potential again.

Over the next three years, this funding will help us to:

  • Deliver specialist advocacy and holistic support for Black women and girls.
  • Expand health and wellbeing services that promote healing and recovery.
  • Develop leadership opportunities through our Ambassador Programme and mentoring initiatives.
  • Strengthen community outreach and early intervention.
  • Continue ensuring that lived experience shapes the design and delivery of our services.

As a survivor-led organisation, we know that sustainable change happens when communities are trusted to lead. Survivor leadership and co-production will remain at the heart of everything we do.

Thank You

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to The National Lottery Community Fund for believing in our vision and investing in our work.

We also want to thank every National Lottery player. Every ticket purchased helps organisations like ours make a meaningful difference within communities across the UK.

Finally, thank you to our dedicated staff, volunteers, Ambassadors, trustees, partners and—most importantly—the incredible women and girls who place their trust in us every day. Your courage, resilience and leadership inspire everything we do.

This achievement belongs to all of you.

We are deeply grateful for this opportunity and look forward to everything we will accomplish together over the next three years.

Together, we will continue breaking barriers, amplifying voices and building safer futures for Black women and girls.
