It’s Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women #IDEVAW & start of #16daysofactivism. In line with this years theme we’ve launched our second digital art campaign in inspired by our sister friend Hopetraining.
In line with the United Nation focus this year during the 16 Days of Activism ‘Invest to prevent Gender Based Abuse’, our campaign theme is titled Unite! Invest 365 days to prevent Gender Based Abuse Digital Art Campaign. We plan to use the #Invest365DaystoPreventGenderBasedAbuse or #Invest365Days to amplify the message that by and for and/or grass roots organisations as hugely vital in preventing abuse.
This year we have 11 new designs that were created by Ivani with 5 reused from last years campaign designed by Dizzy Lou illustrations
This campaign features 16 phenomenal Women tackling #GenderBasedAbuse in Greenwich, Lewisham and Bexley. It will be displayed publicly on the big screen in the centre of Woolwich once a day during the #16DaysOfActivism with thanks to The Royal Borough of Greenwich for sponsoring the public display.

We are committed to #Unite365Days of the year to ensure issues affecting all women can be seen, heard & no one stands alone because we walk in solidarity against #GenderBasedAbuse. Through the Sunflower Circle, we will work with the Council to tackle violence against women and girls, and act as an ongoing critical friend for the wider Safer Greenwich Partnership which includes the police. The Sunflower Circle has helped feed into the new Women’s Safety Plan, and contains a moving pen portrait of Sabina Nessa, written by her sister, Jebina Islam.
