About the role
As an ambitious, growing community interest company that supports black women & girls affected by trauma such as Cultural harmful practices, Domestic and Sexual Abuse. We have a fantastic opportunity for a strategic, human centered and organised individual, keen to develop skills in Wellbeing support services.
You will support the Director to implement a Charitable Trusts and Foundations strategy that generates new income from Charitable Trusts, Foundations and other grant making organisations. Working closely with the Director to identify funding opportunities and secure restricted and unrestricted donations from Trust and Foundations. You will also be expected to support the implementation of the Charitable Trust and Foundation strategy, by writing and submitting applications for funding, regularly monitoring targets and Trust and Foundations income against targets. These are all key aspects of this role, as is identifying and successfully bringing in new business, with a focus on high value Trust relationships.
The successful candidate will have
• Have a passion and sound understanding of the needs and issues faced by socially disadvantaged people
• Be an outstanding communicator, verbally and written, with excellent interpersonal and prioritisation skills
•Willingness to travel between Lewisham & Greenwich occasionally for meetings with our director of Fundraising (minimum once a month)
•Have access to your own laptop/computer, internet & Mobil phone
•A confident user of MSOffice – you have a careful and analytical working style
Desirable
• experience of successfully securing and managing high value complex grants from charitable Trusts and Foundations
• Experience of setting and implementing strategy for raising income from Trusts and Foundations
• Demonstrable experience of developing and securing six-figure multi-year trust grants
